My First Quilt
Come spend time sewing, learning, and creating in this welcoming beginner quilting
class. Together, we’ll make a charming four-block quilt while exploring the basics of
straight-stitch sewing, simple quilt construction, and the traditional log cabin block—one
of quilting’s oldest and most beloved designs.
Step by step, you’ll learn how to assemble your quilt top, layer it with batting and
backing to make a quilt sandwich and finish a cozy project measuring approximately 36"
x 36". Your completed quilt will be just right as a lap quilt, baby or doll quilt, or a sweet
wall hanging to enjoy or give as a gift.
This class is best for students who already know how to thread and operate their sewing
machine. Recommended for ages 9 and up.
