How to Dress Up an Ostomy | 12:00 PM - 6:00 PM
Instructor:  Sally Falaschi                             No Charge

Join us in our newest volunteer community project!

Sally will be donating her wonderful skills and time to help create these special bags
which are so very needed.

Ostomy bags are made from a plastic that can irritate the skin it sits up against. The bag covers we will be making are made from soft cottons and flannels to protect the adjacent skin. The bags can be an irritant especially in the summer. Covering the bags with fun fabrics can make wearing the bag more comfortable and maybe even a bit fun for the patient. Superhero and other fun patterns can be used on the kid sized bag covers. Adult bag covers will be made as well. We are asking you to volunteer your time with us to make some bag covers that will be distributed to patients in Racine and surrounding areas. If you like to donate any suitable fabrics, please bring them with you.

Patterns will be provided.

Pieceful Pines | 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM
The center of this six month block of the month, features a large star surrounded by an intricate wreath. While the center block may look difficult to piece, I assure you, it is not as it is broken down into an easy-to-piece format. Is there a more traditional block than the Log Cabin? It is a perfect fit with the Pine Trees and Wreath, giving a cozy feeling. All the while making a very striking color splash.

The Pieceful Pines Block of the Month Quilt includes the pattern
and 16 yards of fabric to complete the 80" x 80" quilt top and binding.
